Dr. Glashow was elected to Tempra’s Board of Directors in 2018. He is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon and Co-Chief of Sports Medicine, as well as a Clinical Associate Professor of Orthopedics at Mount Sinai Medical Center in New York.
Widely respected for his precision and application of groundbreaking surgical techniques, Dr. Glashow has been in private practice for over 25 years, treating a diverse range of patients from around the world. He is frequently consulted for the treatment of elite professional athletes and has served as a medical media consultant for ESPN Sports, where he was also a frequent guest on their morning sports program.
Dr. Glashow has appeared on national news broadcasts including CBS World News Tonight with John Roberts and CNN Evening News. He has also been quoted in major publications such as The New York Times, the New York Daily News, and the New York Post.
For his outstanding patient care, Dr. Glashow has received numerous recognitions. Castle Connolly has ranked him among America’s Best Doctors, New York Magazine has featured him in multiple annual “Best Doctors” issues, and he has been listed as one of the New York Metro Area’s Best Doctors every year since 2000.
He received his medical degree from Cornell University Medical College after completing his undergraduate studies at Washington University. Dr. Glashow completed his orthopedic surgery residency at Lenox Hill Hospital in New York City and later completed sub-specialty fellowship training in sports medicine and arthroscopic surgery at the Southern California Orthopedic Institute/UCLA in Los Angeles. He also completed a traveling Shoulder Fellowship in London, Ontario, Canada, and at the University of Texas at San Antonio.
Dr. Glashow’s expertise and dedication to advancing orthopedic medicine have led to more than a decade of respected publications and presentations. Most recently, he was invited to Johannesburg, South Africa to present at the National Basketball Association’s Physician Society Outreach Program and the Lenox Hill Hospital Sports Medicine Symposium, where he discussed surgical advancements in ACL reconstructions for professional athletes.
His professional appointments include Chief Medical Officer for the New Jersey Devils Hockey Club and Chief Medical Officer for the Philadelphia 76ers Basketball Club. He is also a member of the National Hockey League Physicians Society and the National Basketball Association Physicians Association, and serves as Senior Attending Orthopedic Surgeon at Lenox Hill Hospital.
In addition, Dr. Glashow serves as a consultant to organizations including General Electric, NBC Medical Department, Pfizer Medical Group, the New York Rangers Hockey Club, the Independent Doctors of New York Board of Directors, the Equinox Fitness Clubs Medical Advisory Board, ESPN Sports, and the University of Vienna in Austria, where he serves as a teacher and lecturer.
